Tupac was a feminist.
I want to write a heavily analysing his writing, songs, actions, history arguing that he is, in fact a feminist icon and above all a feminist or simply a feminist sympathizer. "Keep Ya Head Up" is a feminist anthem for the third wave, I truly believe this. Sure there was objectification of women but thats part of society and I will explore his videos and the director's previous/future videos. I could additionally just explore feminism within rap music, I mean I could do the obvious question whether the average female rappers are empowering women or being further exploited by a society that pushes the idea of Black women as sexually lascivious, a stereotype built on victorian ideals. Of look at Snoop Dogg's participation in the lesbian/woman friendly television series the L Word which has had cameos by such well known feminists as Gloria Steinem and others. However this might be too broad and exploring Tupac as an individual who may or not realized himself as a feminist.
This would be going against the very idea that all rap is detrimental to feminism and explore men's participation in feminism.

Anyone think this is a worth while idea?

Im trying to convince myself that I love my life by saying daily affirmations of "Today something miraculous will take place" the only miraculous thing that takes place is I survive to see another day- I guess that is a miracle just not the kind of miracle I was hoping for. I suppose its a practical one though.
Well Im off to do homework and pray that somehow I will wake up a genius with amazing productivity and be able to coast through the next two and a half years of this... but I will try not to be disappointed when the only thing that happens is me waking up to another day of wretch.

So I am back at school. Woo-friggin-Hoo! No it's actually not that bad I just gotta get my attention span back into shape, yeah for my long ass classes. I am taking Fundementals of Algebra (yeah Im in dumb dumb math because Im a dumb dumb), History of Costume, Psychology of Women, Textile Science and Frenchdraping. Uh huh, that will be what I am up to for this semester. Exciting, huh?
I need to buy my books tomorrow and then I will be all set.
Tomorrow my classes dont start until 11 but they are all the way up on the umpteenth floor, my gluteus maximus will love that.
I honestly dont have much to say...its too bad because this would be the perfect opportunity.
